Military service

In compliance with law n. 26 of 23 August 2004 (G.U. no. 204 of 31.8.2004)
starting from 1st January 2005, the compulsory military service is suspended and replaced by a professional military service.
Italian nationals who intend to repatriate to carry out the voluntary military
service cannot take advantage of the benefits provided for in Law 433/66, which governs the repatriation for those who intend to carry out their military
service the cost of which is borne by the State.
